Expressions of Interest – International & National Education Consultants in the Pacific Region
edt is expanding its network of education professionals across the Pacific, with a particular interest in individuals who have experience working in the Solomon Islands.
We are inviting Expressions of Interest from both international and national consultants with expertise across a range of education and cross-cutting specialisms. We are keen to hear from professionals with experience in education system strengthening, teacher and school leader development, curriculum and assessment, inclusive education, digital learning, climate resilience, education policy, research, monitoring and evaluation and programme delivery. We welcome applications from individuals with experience supporting governments, development partners, and education reform initiatives across the region.
We are particularly interested in professionals with experience in:
- Teacher Professional Development and Adult Learning
- Pedagogy, Teaching and Learning
- School Leadership and Instructional Leadership
- Curriculum Development and Implementation
- Subject Expertise, including:
- English Language and Literacy
- STEM
- Social Sciences
- Careers Education and Guidance
- Homeroom and Student Wellbeing
- Instructional Coaching, Mentoring and Professional Learning Communities
- Climate Change Education, Climate Resilience and Disaster Risk Reduction
- Digital Learning, Education Technology and Blended Professional Development
- Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI)
Essential requirements
Applicants should demonstrate:
- A postgraduate qualification (or equivalent experience) in education or a related field.
- Extensive experience delivering education programmes in low- and middle-income countries.
- Experience working with Ministries of Education, donor agencies and development partners.
- Experience working in the Pacific region, particularly the Solomon Islands.
- An understanding of the opportunities and challenges associated with delivering education programmes in remote and geographically dispersed contexts.
- Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
