About the role
We are inviting applications for upcoming full-time and part-time Careers Adviser opportunities across the South East of England. Whether you are a qualified Careers Adviser or seeking a trainee opportunity, we would love to hear from you. We are also keen to hear from applicants with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disability) experience.

Locations include: Horsham, Crawley, Guildford, Camberley, Maidstone, Woking and Farnham 

Our upcoming opportunities will be working in schools and colleges throughout these regions. You will deliver tailored careers information, advice and guidance to meet the needs of young people including vulnerable groups and those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND); taking part in reviews and contributing to the education health and care plans as required.

You will have:
  • An understanding of and a commitment to, equality of opportunity for all
  • Knowledge of the local labour market and issues relating to learning and employment
  • Demonstrate an up to date knowledge of legislation and statutory requirements of working with young people
  • Detailed knowledge of relevant developments in Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance
  • Demonstrate professional commitment to children’s rights, equal opportunities and diversity
  • Thorough knowledge of education, employment, training and personal development opportunities that are available for young people
  • An understanding of working with young people and their careers aspirations
  • Experience of working with young people preferably in a school or college setting
Our Careers Advisers are expected to work flexibly and independently but will be supported as part of the wider team.  Applicants must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
