About the role

Education Development Trust are seeking expressions of interest from qualified individuals for our work in Kenya.  We are seeking individuals in the areas of Systems Strengthening. Early Childhood Education,  and Education Project Leadership and Management. Do you have relevant experience of working in a substantive role in-country and across the region on large-scale education reform programmes?

We are seeking individuals across the following key skill/experience areas:

  • Specific technical expertise in the areas of Early Childhood Education, Teacher Professional Development, Foundational Learning and Inclusion.
  • Strategic leadership of education programmes.
  • Strong Project Management experience managing large-scale education reform programmes.
  • Experience working closely with the Ministry of Education to deliver education reform.
  • Experience working on development-partner (donor) funded programmes.
  • Experience in the provision of high-quality stakeholder engagement/management and effective liaison with a wide range of stakeholders, including government, schools, partners, clients, suppliers, and consultants.
  • Excellent understanding of the education context in Kenya, and existing contacts with key stakeholders at the highest levels within Governments and wider education stakeholders
  • An ability to use data and progress monitoring to adapt.
  • Consultancy skills, including the ability to offer objective feedback, challenge and constructive formative, actionable recommendations to project and corporate staff.
