Technical Support Analyst - 12 month fixed-term contract
The Educational Development Trust IT department are recruiting for a Technical Support Analyst to join the team on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will have experience of first, second and third line technical support. They will be organised, proactive, and willing to learn and develop their skills and knowledge. Attention to detail and the ability to document all tasks undertaken is key to the role. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and be able to explain technical solutions to non-technical users with a desire to improve our end user experience
You will have a good working knowledge of the latest Windows Server & Microsoft Azure Platform as well as Windows 7 and 10, also Office 365 & Office packages. Experience of server management (i.e. Active Directory and Group Policy) is essential. Understanding networking and being able to troubleshoot wired and wireless Ethernet networks are required. Sound knowledge of internet security applications & IT Security Health Checks is also important
The Candidate will be based in the Education Development Trust head office in Reading. While the role is undertaken primarily during office hours, it will involve periods of out-of-hours working in order to meet the needs of the business. Some national and international travel may also be required for short periods.
